Apartment Three is a very special space, exceptionally clean and disinfected (per CDC & NYS DOH guidelines), in an artfully converted 1906 mansion designed by noted architect Claude Bragdon. Your Living Room is the large former library of the original owner, with 10-1/2 foot ceilings, fireplace, hardwoods and stacked glass bay window. Furnishings can include some or all of the following: complete living room with flat screen TV, beautiful oriental carpet, very comfortable couch, lounge chair with ottoman etc. Updated kitchen is spotlessly clean and opens into a separate dining room space with full dining/dinette table and chairs and oriental rug, fully applianced and equipped kitchen (including all kitchen plates, cookware, utensils and small appliances). Spacious light-­filled bedroom has 3 windows, new carpeting and generous closet, complete bedroom set with new queen mattress and matching furnishings (can even include linens.) We will coordinate partially furnishing or unfurnishing the apartment with a longer-term resident.

Bright, updated full bath with new furniture style vanity and traditional white/black hexagonal tile floor (see pic). This apartment has two entrances, a semi-private side entrance and another through the main entrance to the house. Wonderful, even heat and hot water included. New onsite coin-op washer and dryer. Bed and bath linens can be provided if needed. Includes one reserved off street parking spot. Garage space may be available. Some basement storage space could also be available if needed. Resident pays just electric (est at $45/mo.) and shared whole-house WiFi & Standard CATV with 100+ channels for $60/mo (normally >$90 through Spectrum). Cleaning service could be available.

Owners are VERY responsive and maintain the building very well.
Pets: We are animal lovers too, but please refrain from bringing animals with you during your stay. Our leases currently don’t allow pets, cats, or dogs, not even small dogs. Animals are not allowed on property except service dogs. Please provide documentation in advance for service dogs. Thank you!

Not familiar with East Avenue in Rochester? It is a neighborhood of historic homes within the The East Ave Historic District, a neighborhood of historic homes, is great for walking, running or biking. With a “Very Walkable” WalkScore of 88, it’s only one block to Cafe Sasso and the newest Pearson’s Cafe & Kitchen. CVS drug store and numerous restaurants (Italian, Sinbads Mediterranean, Roux French bistro, Park Ave Pub fine dining, Chester Cab Pizza, and Jines, our favorite Park Ave upscale diner) are only a couple blocks away. There’s also a new Starbucks in the same block as Jine’s! Less than one mile on East Ave to the amazing Wegmans Food Market. And just 1.5 miles to Eastman School of Music and Eastman Theater. Short walks to the George Eastman Museum, Memorial Art Gallery, Rochester Museum and Science Center and the Planetarium. Short run to Cobbs Hill Park with Lake Riley (former wide-waters area of the historic Erie Canal) and wonderful wooded hiking and running hills. One mile to 490 expressway on-ramps. Be anywhere in the Greater Rochester area in just 15-20 minutes. Less than 45 minutes to the Finger Lakes Region (Canandaigua, Keuka, Honeoye, Conesus, Seneca, Cayuga Lakes).
