Not familiar with East Avenue in Rochester? It is a neighborhood of historic homes within the The East Ave Historic District, a neighborhood of historic homes, is great for walking, running or biking. With a “Very Walkable” WalkScore of 88, it’s only one block to Cafe Sasso and the newest Pearson’s Cafe & Kitchen. CVS drug store and numerous restaurants (Italian, Sinbads Mediterranean, Roux French bistro, Park Ave Pub fine dining, Chester Cab Pizza, and Jines, our favorite Park Ave upscale diner) are only a couple blocks away. There’s also a new Starbucks in the same block as Jine’s! Less than one mile on East Ave to the amazing Wegmans Food Market. And just 1.5 miles to Eastman School of Music and Eastman Theater. Short walks to the George Eastman Museum, Memorial Art Gallery, Rochester Museum and Science Center and the Planetarium. Short run to Cobbs Hill Park with Lake Riley (former wide-waters area of the historic Erie Canal) and wonderful wooded hiking and running hills. One mile to 490 expressway on-ramps.
