Living Room features an oversized comfortable sleeper sofa for a family/friend guest, and a relaxing, slip-covered easy chair with ottoman that’s great for reading or watching large 43″ Smart Sony HDTV. Dining area seats four+ comfortably.
French doors to eat-in kitchen drenched in light with 6 windows. Terra cotta floor, updated cabinets. New dishwasher. Includes all plates, glassware, cookware, utensils and small appliances.
Large bedroom with Queen Bed, two closets plus large built-ins (from the original former mansion’s walk-in linen closet), mirrored dresser and two bedside tables. New ceiling fans in both Liv Rm and Bedroom. Wonderful treed view from this apartment. VERY quiet building.
5Rent includes wonderful, even heat that is self controlled and plenty of hot water. Resident pays just electric (est at $40/mo.) and shared whole-house WiFi & Standard Cable with over 100 channels for $60/mo (normally $90+ through Spectrum.) On site coin-op front-load washer ($2) and dryer ($1.50). Reserved off-street parking. Garage space may be available.
This historic East Ave mansion has beautiful common areas including original three story staircase. Wonderful common area porch with awning and comfortable furnishings overlooks landscaped double lot. Owner occupants are VERY responsive.
Pets: We are animal lovers too, but please refrain from bringing animals with you during your stay. Our leases currently don’t allow pets, cats, or dogs, not even small dogs. Animals are not allowed on property except service dogs. Please provide documentation in advance for service dogs. Thank you!

Not familiar with East Avenue in Rochester? It is a neighborhood of historic homes within the The East Ave Historic District, a neighborhood of historic homes, is great for walking, running or biking. With a “Very Walkable” WalkScore of 88, it’s only one block to Cafe Sasso and the newest Pearson’s Cafe & Kitchen. CVS drug store and numerous restaurants (Italian, Sinbads Mediterranean, Roux French bistro, Park Ave Pub fine dining, Chester Cab Pizza, and Jines, our favorite Park Ave upscale diner) are only a couple blocks away. There’s also a new Starbucks in the same block as Jine’s! Less than one mile on East Ave to the amazing Wegmans Food Market. And just 1.5 miles to Eastman School of Music and Eastman Theater. Short walks to the George Eastman Museum, Memorial Art Gallery, Rochester Museum and Science Center and the Planetarium. Short run to Cobbs Hill Park with Lake Riley (former wide-waters area of the historic Erie Canal) and wonderful wooded hiking and running hills. One mile to 490 expressway on-ramps. Be anywhere in the Greater Rochester area in just 15-20 minutes. Less than 45 minutes to the Finger Lakes Region (Canandaigua, Keuka, Honeoye, Conesus, Seneca, Cayuga Lakes).
